I'm pretty sure that this was a candle I bought for my mum one Christmas.

Wonderful words as always, but an extra resonance for me, as anothet who grew up with grow-into (and its friends make-do and mend). Still live my life with those last two, but that feels different now it's my own decision 🙂 x

Yes - now I make do and mend and do the second hand stuff gladly! I think it is peer pressure when you are young that maked it hit you so much harder xxx

hermit crabs ARE honest to god miracles!! do you know when they need to move house they all line up with their nearest pals and swap until everyone is happy with their shell. if only we could be like hermit crabs with our houses/wealth. do you remember that violet perfume in a miniature bottle that was always in shops on those holidays? or Palma violet sweets? YUM!

Yes, I love everything about hermit crabs, even the poor things trying to make homes in plastic waste - that makes me want to cry. I do have a mini bottle of that perfume - you can still buy it now xxx
